Who we are

Information we collect

• Enquiry details you submit through our contact form: your name, the email and/or phone number you give us, and your message.
• If you go on to buy or sell a vehicle with us, the contact and vehicle details needed to complete that transaction, including information from vehicle history checks such as DVLA and MOT records.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The only thing this site stores in your browser is your light/dark display preference, kept locally and never sent to us.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiries, arrange viewings, and — where relevant to a sale — check a vehicle's tax and MOT status via DVLA and DVSA. We don't sell your information to third parties or use it for marketing unless you separately ask us to keep you updated.

Where it's stored

Stored securely with Supabase, our database and file storage provider. Vehicle photos are stored the same way.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, and no longer than 24 months, unless you become a customer — in which case normal transaction record-keeping periods apply.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email buy@upcars.uk to do so. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you think we've mishandled your data.

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above shows when it last changed.
